You can keep the extracted folder at any place in your computer. All you have to do is point Encore to the library folder it it. To do this - MAC - Goto Encore->Preferences->Media Browse to the library folder of the extracted files and click OK. Win - Goto Edit->Preferences->Media Browse to the library folder of the extracted files and click OK.

To download the full functional content which includes buttons and templates on this link -http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-missing.html,scroll down to the bottom of the page to - Additional Solution: Install the Resource Central library content Download the extra library content and follow the instructions.There is a .7z file which is avaialble for download.It contains all the buttons and templates.

Hi jaypurcell, I think you are facing this issue because you did not uninstall the earlier version cleanly. First uninstall your current version and then try to clean your machine to remove any traces of previous installation using the cleanup scripts posted by Adobe here- http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html and then install Encore afresh.

On this page navigate to - "Download the extra library content" Here you can download the full functional content.It will be a .7z file So here are the steps to follow - 1)Download the full functional content on your system (.7z files) 2)Download unzip utility for .7z format 7-zip for Windows ( available for download at http://www.7-zip.org/download.html) The Unarchiver for Mac( available for download at http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/apps/unarchiver.html) 3)Extract the files to any desired location on your computer4)Launch Encore and point the library to the location where you have just extracted the FC files. .7z is a 64 bit format and it provides better compression. Yes you need a utility to zip unzip .7z files. There are many free utilities but I have tried the ones mentioned in the post above and they work for me. 7-zip for Windows ( available for download at http://www.7-zip.org/download.html) The Unarchiver for Mac( available for download at http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/apps/unarchiver.html) -Shuchi

It seems the CS6 functional content installer does removes the previous 5.1 FC from the machine(although the path at which CS5.1 and CS6 libraries are installed are different, 5.1 FC is at C:\program files (x86) and 6.0 FC is at C:\Program files) The solution to this issue would be - copy the cs6 library from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\Library and place it at another loacation and rename it. Now uninstall the CS6 Content and reinstall the 5.1 FC using the disc or the downloded FC you have. In this way you will recover back your 5.1 FC and can also use the 6.0 FC by pointing Encore to its location. I tried it and this works. Alternately, you can use the 5.1 FC for CS6 by pointing the Encore CS6 library to its location. I would also suggest that if you have the 5.1 functional content already then you can wait for the full downloadable FC because the CS6 provides only a limited set of menus. And this problem will no longer be faced once the downloadable full version of CS6 FC will be available.
